Writing Wrapped

The end of the year is a great time to reflect on past goals and set new ones. As I reflect on this year while trying to develop a title for this post, the first thing that came to mind was “Writing Wrapped.” I look forward to seeing my Spotify Wrapped every year. So I decided to wrap up my year of writing.

At the beginning of 2024, I set a writing goal for myself to post to my blog once a month. With this post ending the year, I successfully completed that goal! I must say, I’m proud of myself. Most would assume that this shouldn’t be a task for me because I love writing. However, that’s the reason why it can be a bit of a challenge for me.

I fell in love with writing in the fourth grade and take my work seriously. Everything I write is from the heart, and I want my words to inspire readers. That’s why I’m also proud of myself for completing my first children’s book this year! I can’t wait to publish it next year officially, but for now, I’m happy to celebrate a complete manuscript for an idea that has evolved since 2019.

In addition to my first children’s book, I’m also working on a podcast about writing, which will debut in 2025. I’m excited to share interviews with authors, songwriters, and screenwriters with listeners.

There is one goal that I was unable to accomplish. I submitted my work to be featured guest writer in one of my favorite blogs. After seeing a call for stories, I submitted work to a few of them. Unfortunately, I never heard back. I won’t let that discourage me because I’ve accomplished much more than I thought I would this year.

I appreciate you reading my work, and I hope you’ll stay tuned for what’s on the way!
